As you might sense from the sub-header, oh boy, did I mess up yesterday. Thanks to reader/subscriber Paul Rasmus, I need to correct yesterday’s MC! Turns out that the Sunshine State Conference changed their format from the normal 4-team playoff to a six team one this year!
Well, so much for all those tiebreaker projections . . . at least I did get to exercise the muscle between the ears, even if it was wrong! Anyhow, since it’s 6 teams, not 4, let’s just say I’ll wait until Wednesday’s games are in the books and stick to analyzing the high school seeds, which are going to be hard enough this year.
College Polls came out yesterday and so far we have the Gators remaining at #9 in the IL/IWLCA poll, since a 13-game winning streak isn’t enough to put them above teams that lost . . . In the IL/IWLCA D2 polls, Florida gets a lot more respect, as eight of the Top 20 are in the state, capped by FSC at #4. Jacksonville Men did get some consideration for the IL Top 25 Poll.
