Welcome to today’s post! Canterbury Girls complete the miracle.
As I started to look through the results and the effects on the potential brackets, I was struck by how much harder it will be than last year. Of the 64 teams making the brackets last year, I had 62 if memory serves and almost all the pairings correct. What changed? The amount of district upsets was one. The amount of spacing between teams that won was large enough that I had to wonder if they wouldn’t be enough to flip positions even when the winning team was below the losing team.
What I’m saying is that I am less confident in how my predictions will turn out this year. I was only able at this point to comfortably assume about 10 slots, waiting for the games tonight and tomorrow. That’s how much movement was still available, as well as those #7/#8 seeds will be.
So, here we go!
