Congratulations to the 4 Student-Athletes (out of 24) to be named Florida Dairy Farmers team who also played our great sport! We usually produce a number of great students, no matter what the perception is!
Here are the 4:
Brandon Ha – Clearwater Central Catholic: Brandon Ha has demonstrated academic excellence with a 4.0 GPA while actively engaging in athletics, leadership, and service. A multi-sport athlete, Ha has competed in basketball, track and field, lacrosse, and soccer. Beyond athletics, he has taken on leadership roles in student government, serving as a Homeroom Representative, Class President, and Executive Vice President. Additionally, he holds leadership positions as Vice President of Morningstar Amigos and Secretary of Catholic Relief Services. Ha is also a dedicated member of numerous honor societies, including the National Honor Society, English Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Art Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Social Studies Honor Society, and World Language Honor Society. Committed to service, Ha has accumulated over 290 hours of community service, including contributions to Morningstar Amigos peer group for a special needs school, Catholic Relief Services, Water for Mercy, and Model UN. The son of Nhan and Kim Ha, he will be attending Florida State University in Tallahassee, where he plans to study architecture.
Leonard Pisciotto – American Heritage (Delray Beach): Leonard Pisciotto holds a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society, demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence. Throughout his high school career, Pisciotto was a multi-sport athlete, competing in football, lacrosse, and basketball. His dedication to athletics was matched by his leadership in student organizations, where he was an active member of the Scholar-Athlete Club, Education Rocks Club, Pre-Business Society, and served as a Student Ambassador. Pisciotto’s passion for service is evident in his extensive volunteer work. He dedicated 300 hours to A Second Chance, an organization that fosters animals, and contributed 200 hours to Education Rocks, a program focused on educational empowerment. Pisciotto is the son of Leonard and Jennifer and will continue his academic journey at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee where he plans to study finance.
Stevan Ridder – Oviedo: Stevan Ridder holds a 4.0 GPA and is the Salutatorian of his senior class. An Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction, Ridder has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement throughout his high school career. In athletics, he has been a standout in both football and lacrosse, serving as the three-year varsity lacrosse captain and earning the title of varsity lacrosse MVP. Ridder was also named First Team All-Conference Attack for lacrosse. In student government, Ridder has served as Junior Class President and Senior Class President, as well as a member of the Student Government Association (SGA), further exemplifying his dedication to leadership and service. He co-founded and co-presides over the Engineering Club and is also the coach and leader of the Pickleball Club. Ridder is committed to community service, volunteering with UA Rise Volunteer Flag Football Coach and First United Methodist Church of Oviedo. He is the son of Stevan and Blythe Ridder and plans to study engineering at either Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia or the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Nicole Rivero – Miami Country Day: Nicole Rivero has achieved academic success with a 3.83 GPA, earning recognition as a Garners Scholar and a member of the Upper School Director’s List. A standout multi-sport athlete, Rivero has played varsity lacrosse and soccer, serving as captain of the lacrosse team. She was named to the Second Team All-Dade County for lacrosse and competed with the USA South Florida National Team. Additionally, she contributed to back-to-back soccer district championships. Beyond athletics, Rivero has been a leader in student organizations. She serves as president of the Mental Health Student Association, is a peer counselor, and works as a student ambassador. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the Jack Dubois Social Studies Honor Society. Rivero has dedicated significant time to community service. She serves as a social media intern for the Kennedy Kids Foundation and created the “Did You Know?” campaign, contributing 250 hours of service. She is the daughter or Manuel and Lourdes Rivero and plans to study business and marketing in college.
